No Strings Attached   By: Pastor Adam Durso   Sex sells! That’s what society has promoted on T.V. screens, commercial ads, magazines and theaters. The more sex you advertise- however raunchy and filthy you can make it- the more customers you will attract.  Sex has become such a lucrative business that it brings in almost 10-14 billion a year . One author even suggested that “pornography is bigger than any of the major league sports, perhaps bigger than Hollywood; ending with Porn is “no longer a sideshow to the mainstream…it ... Read More

Glory, Honor and Power Pastor Adam Durso   Revelation 4:1 This passage of scripture paints a picture for us of the God that we serve, His character and His power. John, the writer of the book of Revelation gives us a glimpse into the very throne room of God after having a vision of this glorious sight, and His reaction to what He witnessed. Granted, this particular book of the Bible contains symbolic imagery, but they are illustrations of the majesty and vast greatness of God. In the text, the elders and cherubim cry out in worship ... Tear Down To Build Up Rev. Adam Durso, D.D   The accounts of the prophets hold many stories that often times are overlooked. First, because some accounts are difficult to understand and second because people usually find it hard to make connections with these stories and everyday life. This year I have found myself in the book of Jeremiah many a time and I believe that the words written here will encourage, bless and even convict your heart as we approach this New Year desiring a new way for our personal lives and our ministries. Jeremiah, a ... Read More

Today’s media is saturated with youth depicting the horrors of society, and unfathomable crimes, which display such a high degree of violence, are currently being committed by young teens. These acts worsen, as the days grow more evil. The enemy is aware that his time is short, and so he is bent on killing, stealing, and destroying the lives of our young people.  During this past week alone, I received news regarding violent attacks directly related to our youth. A Columbine-type plot was uncovered in a nearby high school; a 13-year-old’s ... Read More

Within the past decade a new way of music has permeated the church walls and stirred controversy in our midst.  Questions and forums arise to address topics such as “Hip Hop . . . Is it the means or is it the message?  Is Hip Hop and Holiness Heretical?  Is spreading the gospel through the form of Hip Hop compromising?  Are they Christians who happen to rap or rappers who happen to be Christians? The purpose of this genre is to reach a lost generation at their level.  Hip-Hop is used symbolically as a net to draw in an individual but ... Read More

Revelation 1: 8, begins, as John, the apostle accounts, “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty”.  I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.  On the Lord’s Day, I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet, which said:  “Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches…I ... “Do all the good you can, in all the ways you can, to all the souls you can, in every place you can, with all the zeal you can, as long as you ever can.” – John Wesley It was an ordinary day for two ordinary men. Peter and John, Jesus’ disciples, were on their way to the temple at the time of intercession. The sun shined bright as they walked toward the temple gates. Their expectations were to go to “church” for the purpose of prayer but God had a different plan in mind… “Now a man crippled from birth was being carried to ... Read More

In Ezekiel Chapter 48, the prophet records a time of great blessing for the people of God. Jerusalem would be restored and the city rebuilt but even more- the city would be given a new name Jehovah Shama- The LORD is There. The Lord would be connected to the city and all who would enter into the city gates would know that the Lord’s presence resided in Jerusalem. Praise and worship filled the city when this good news arrived. God’s presence was a constant reminder to the people of his approval and a stamp that he would be faithful to those ... Read More

“But now your kingdom will not endure; the Lord has sought out a man after His own heart and appointed him leader of his people, because you have not kept the Lord’s command” (I Samuel 13:13-14). Ouch! What strong words from Samuel concerning the future of King Saul. Saul would not only lose the kingdom but God had already found a replacement. There was a new king appointed and the Lord made clear “this man has a heart after mine.” It is safe to say that the hand of God moved from King Saul and went to the one the Lord had appointed. ...
